29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: a) SE Corner, Third Floor, Column A-10 - On or about 11/27/2013, a carpenter was exposed to an impalement hazard while accessing the top of a 9 foot high column form by ladder which was located 40 inchs. from unprotected vertical rebar. For the purposes of this inspection, the employer was determined to be the creating, exposing and correcting employer of the jobsite. The employer is being cited under OSHA's Multi-Employer Workplace Policy. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
