Maintenance Shop: Exposed unused run of the blade of a metal band saw above the roll guides was not guarded to prevent operator injuries. Chuck and drill bit of a drill press were not guarded to prevent employee injuries.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: Plant: Employees used hazardous compounds such as, but not limited to, Hysol MB50 machine working fluids without having been provided required training and information prior to being assigned to tasks requiring use of the hazardous chemicals.
