29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(i): Respirator users were not provided with the information contained in Appendix D to 29 CFR 1910.134 when the employer determined that any voluntary respirator use was permissible:  (a) For employees providing cleaning services in the Infinity Mine Trailer located at 45150 Bermont Road in Punta Gorda (FL) , as noted on or about 12/10/2013.  Employees had been provided an N95 dust mask without having been provided the Appendix D information.  The dust masks were used while cleaning rat feces and urine on or about 11/12/2013.  Rat feces and urine can carry the Hantavirus which can progress into the Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome and become fatal to humans.  Hantavirus is spread by breathing in dust that is contaminated with rodent urine or droppings or direct contact with rodents or their urine/ droppings.
