29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: a. TDI Pre-polymers, Handling and Production Area, P1 - On or about February 20, 2014, An employee wears a elastomeric respirator (3M half mask 6300) with organic vapor cartridges while supplying the TDI to the mixing kettle and may wear a full face respirator with self-contained breathing apparatus during upset operations. Employee had a full beard which came in contact with the respirator facial seal.
