29 CFR 1910.107(b)(10): When spraying areas are illuminated through glass panels or other transparent materials, panels were not effectively isolate the spraying area from the area in which the lighting unit is located: (a) South Side Draft Paint Booth: The one foot by four foot fluorescent lights located in the spray booth were not sealed to effectively isolate the spray booth from the lighting. There was an opening of 1/4 -1/2 inch between the light and the booth, as determined on December 12, 2013.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): In any workplace where respirators were necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures. The program shall be updated as necessary to reflect those changes in workplace conditions that affect respirator use: (a) Paint Shop: The employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program to protect employees from respiratory hazards such as but not limited to toluene, xylene, ethyl benzene from paint vapors during painting operations, as determined on December 12, 2013. Abatement Certification Required for this Item.
