29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: a) Coe Lathe Clipper area - End of conveyor leading from veneer peeling machine: On or about December 11, 2013 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to caught-by hazards in that 4 inches projecting shaft end with 2 inches solid diameter rotating shaft at the end of conveyer belt on the right side of Elliott Bay semi-automatic clipper NS926 projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft and was unguarded.
