29 CFR 1910.269(w)(6)(i): Traffic control signs and traffic control devices used for the protection of employees did not meet the requirements of 1926.200(g)(2), which states that all traffic control shall conform to Part VI of the MUTCD, 1988 Edition, Revision 3. Specifically Section 6G-2.b(4) which mandates "Work on the traveled way demands optimum protection for workers and maximum advance warning for drivers. Advance warning must provide a general message that what is taking place, information about specific hazards, and actions the driver must take to drive through the temporary traffic control zone". a) Good Intent Rd., Deptford: While conducting repairs on power transmission lines employees of SOS Security and PSEG were exposed to potential vehicular struck by hazards due to insufficient advanced warning for a lane closure on a two lane road using flaggers. PSEG was the controlling employer, responsible for the temporary traffic control device setup, on this multi-employer jobsite. Observed on or about 12/16/2014.

29 CFR 1910.269(w)(6)(i): Traffic control signs and traffic control devices used for the protection of employees did not meet the requirements of 1926.200(g)(2), which states that all traffic control shall conform to Part VI of the MUTCD, 1988 Edition, Revision 3. Specifically: Section 6H-2d - Lane Closings on Two-Lane Roads and the referenced typical application diagrams, Figure TA-10. Lane closure for one lane-two way traffic control. a) Good Intent Rd., Deptford: While conducting repairs on power transmission lines employees of SOS Security and PSEG were exposed to potential vehicular struck by hazards by failing to follow the Typical Application diagram for a lane closure on a two lane road using flaggers found in Part VI of the MUTCD, 1988 Edition, Revision 3. PSEG was the controlling employer responsible for the temporary traffic control device setup on this multi-employer jobsite. Observed on or about 12/16/2014.
