29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: a- 59 Montclaire Road, Medford NJ: Employees, not wearing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 feet 8 inches to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle installation and other related activities from roofs with pitches ranging from 10 to 12 on 12. Condition observed on or about 12/18/13.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 59 Montclaire Road, Medford NJ: Employees, not wearing fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 feet 8 inches to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle installation and other related activities from roofs with pitches ranging from 10 to 12 on 12. Two of the exposed employees had not received fall protection training from the company. Condition observed on or about 12/18/13. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
