29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employee(s) working in an aerial lift were sitting or climbing on the edge of the basket: On or about December 17, 2013, on an articulating lift, the employer did not ensure employees stand firmly on the floor of the basket. An employee was observed standing on the midrail of an aerial lift basket to elevate himself higher to retrieve a metal clamp from the roof of the building. This exposed employees to fall hazards of 10 feet to the lower level below.
