OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause amputations or serious lacerations:    Employees are exposed to amputation and laceration hazards from inadequately maintained Sampson Miter Saw.  Preventatiive maintenance did not include inspections of the bolts and washers securing the air cylinders for the Sampson Miter Saws. On or about 12-18-13 a worker suffered an amputation at the miter saw when the securing bolt disconnected from the air cylinder and the motor dropped and the saw shifted and amputated the employee's finger.
