29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about December 18, 2013, and at times prior thereto, in CNC machine shop areas employees were allowed to operate CNC lathe machines that were found not having interlock device provided. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: On or about December 18, 2013, and at times prior thereto, in CNC machine shop areas employees were allowed to use compressed air nozzles for cleaning purpose that were not the type that would reduce the pressure to below 30 p.s.i. The employees were exposed to skin and eye injury.
