29 CFR 1926.451(f)(14): Makeshift devices, such as but not limited to boxes and barrels, were used on top of scaffold platforms to increase the working level height of employees. On or about July 16, 2013 at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd, Macon, GA: An employee applying EIFS to the exterior of the building was seen climbing on the cross-bracing and standing on a pile of bricks to elevate his position to a higher level while taping seams on the wall. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard of more than 10 feet to the lower level.
