OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to being struck by the heavy steel sides of concrete forms:     a) On or about 12/24/2013 at 1250 9th Street, NW, Washington DC, West Side of the Site, Basement Level - An employee was observed working from an elevated bucket of a Bobcat Model T630 Serial Number 017707 Skid Steer Loader exposing him to a 6 foot 6 inch fall hazard. Concrete worker was installing wooden plank between a concrete wall and a concrete column. Concrete workers on the deck wall and the concrete worker standing in the bucket of the bobcat were installing wooden planks in order to suspend steel reinforcing rods from it. All of these employees were under the direct supervision of the deck foreman who was standing on the deck.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.403(d)(1): Electric equipment was not firmly secured to the surface on which it was mounted:   a) Center of the 1st Floor Deck - A concrete worker was observed using a circular saw which was plugged into an 110 volt receptacle that was suspended by it power cable exposing him to a potential electrical hazard, on or about 12/24/13.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
