29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: a) 508 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard while erecting steel approximately 16 feet 5 inches high without wearing their harness and lanyard. Violation observed on or about 01/13/2014. Astro Structural Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760 (a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312996325, citation number 01, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 08/14/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 1980 Crompond Road, Peekskill, NY.
