29 CFR 1910.141(b)(2)(iii): Nonpotable water was allowed to be used for cleaning work premises when the nonpotable water contained concentrations of chemicals, fecal coliform, or other substances which could create unsanitary conditions or be harmful to employees: (a) Reaction Side: Employees were allowed to clean process filters using water hoses with non-potable water that had been contaminated with Crude MCHM which got into the public water system from a local chemical plant leak as determined on January 16, 2014.
