Building Exterior: Entrance Canopy Roof: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet while lowering a scaffold pole without a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection, on or about 1/16/2014.  b.  Building Exterior: Entrance Canopy Roof: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 35 feet while lowering a scaffold pole without a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection, on or about 1/16/2014.

Building Exterior Front: An employee was cutting stone on the front stairs that was not equipped with at least one handrail along each unprotected side or edge, on or about 1/16/2014.

29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:   a. Building Exterior Front: Employees working without hard hats were exposed to a struck by hazard from a scaffold pole that was being lowered over the heads, on or about 1/16/2014.  The F&G Sons Contractors, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313981383, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/13/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 17-23 North Avenue West, Cranford, NJ 07016.   The F&G Sons Contractors, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312861149, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/23/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 278 River Street, Hackensack, NJ.
