29 CFR 1910.307(c):  Electrical installations.  Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations shall be intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location:     a.  In the bagging area on the East wall, the Class II rated electrical switch/junction box which had an opening on the side of the box negating its Class II rating and which powered the Newlong Industrial sewing machine (Mfg. #121071) and conveyor system was located in a Class II, Division 2 location and was not intrinsically safe, approved for a Class II, Division 2 location, or safe for a Class II, Division 2 location.   Carrollton Farmers Exchange Company, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.307(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 190507, citation number 1, item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 204 Second Street NW, Carrollton, Ohio 44615.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):  Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area.  Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals.  Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets:   a.  At the facility, the employer did not provide hazard communication training on the new label elements and safety data sheet (SDS) format for all employees who were exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as but not limited to, the following:  fertilizer, grease, gear oil, motor oil, hydraulic oil, antifreeze, oxygen, and acetylene.
