29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:    a)Garda Cash Logistics, 175 East 9th Ave, Runnemede, NJ- The employer did not require its armed delivery personnel at its Long Island City, New York location to wear ballistic vests to protect them from the possibility of serious physical injury or death resulting from being shot when making pick-ups and/or drop-offs of cash at unsecured locations.  Unsecured locations are defined as those to which the public have access.    NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
