29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting: (a) On or about January 21, 2014, and at times prior, Wise Recycling, LLC. did not ensure that a training program was provided for all employees to familiarize them with the principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient fire fighting. Employees of Wise Recycling, LLC. would be expected to use fire extinguishers in case of incipient stage fires, but had not been trained on fire extinguisher use and the hazards associated with such fire fighting. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
