OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:    At the time of inspection, employees were exposed to falls while standing on a pallet basket being raised by a powered industrial truck.  Reference ANSI B56.1--2000.    Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to purchase a manufacturer's approved cage for the powered industrial truck and provide fall protection for employees while in the raised cage.
