29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns.  The employer does not ensure that each employee is protected from injuries to the head from falling objects.  This violation was observed on or about January 22, 2014, at the residential construction site where an employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard from falling plywood, nail-gun, and other objects. when working below a roof under construction without a protective helmet.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from head injuries from falling objects.
