VISITORS CENTER: On or about January 23, 2014 the employer did not ensure that exit route door(s) were not locked from the inside to prevent employees from hazards associated with, but not limited to, fire.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit": VISITORS CENTER: On or about January 23, 2014 the employer did not ensure that exit route door(s) were marked with a sign reading "Exit". This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with, but not limited to, fire. NOTE: Each exit sign must be illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and is distinctive in color. Self-luminous or electroluminescent signs that have a minimum luminance surface value of at least .06 footlamberts (0.21 cd/m2) are permitted.5
