29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent):   a) OMG Americas, Inc. / 240 Two Mile Run Road, Franklin, PA: On or about January 24, 2014 employees use a platform to unload bulk bags into a distribution vessel. The material is gravity fed into an area that is lower than the platform. Fall distance from the platform to the grate is approximatley 56 inches.  Standard guardrail systems were not utilized as a means of protection   Or In The Alternative:  29 CFR 1910.132(a): protective equipment was not used wherever it was necessary by reason of hazards which were encountered in a manner capable of causing injuury or impairment in the function of any part of the body:  a) OMG Americas, Inc. / 240 Two Mile Run Road, Franklin, PA: On or about January 24, 2014 employees on a platform were not protected from falls of approximately 56 inhces through the use of protective equipment such as personal fall arrest systesm (PFAS) and/or other fall protection devices.
