29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail systems, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. a. On or about 01/22/2014, Integrated Construction Services, Inc., Fort Buchanan Commissary, 689 N Terminal Road, Ft. Buchanan P.R. - Commissary entrance area: Employees engaged in roofing operations were observed painting the roof surface in which were walking, with an unprotected side or edge at 12 ft. high from the lower level without a conventional fall protection system, such as guardrail, safety net, or personal fall arrest system in place. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
