OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employement and a place of employement which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to ammonia releases and exposures. On or about 1/28/14, at the Gainesville Georgia facility, employees were exposed to ammonia hazards as the employer did not ensure the Ammonia machinery room was equipped with tight fitting doors that led into the production area. This hazard is recognized in safety documents: ANSI/IIAR 2-2008, Equipment, Design and Installation of Closed Circuit Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration Systems, 13.3.3 Access and Egress.
