29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: The employer does not ensure that a suitable facility for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes is provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. This violation occurred on or about January 30, 2014, located in Building #11 Test Lab etching area, where employees were exposed to contact hazards when using corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, hydrofluoric acid without the eye wash being readily assessable. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that a suitable facility for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes is provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.

This violation occurred on or about January 27, 2014, located in Building #11 Test Lab, where the Chemical Hygiene Plan did not identify a chemical hygiene officer and/or chemical hygiene committee. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that the Chemical Hygiene Plan includes the designation of personnel responsible for implementation of the plan.
