29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a- 340 Venice Drive, Chadwick Beach NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 15 feet 3 inches to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle installation and other related activities while working from a roof with a pitch of approximately 10 on 12. Condition observed on or about 01/31/14.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a- 340 Venice Drive, Chadwick Beach NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 15 feet 3 inches to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle installation and other related activities while working from a roof with a pitch of approximately 10 on 12. Condition observed on or about 01/31/14. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
