Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer does not furnish employment and a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that cause or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employer directs employees to remove diagonal structural members on communication towers without using temporary braces or supports.       (a) Despard WV08612 Tower at 9141 Murphy Road, Clarksburg WV: On February 1, 2014, employees were performing modification and upgrade work on a communication tower.  The employer directed employees to remove and disconnect diagonal structural members without using any temporary braces or supports.  In this case, the tower collapsed and as a result of the collapse, two employees were killed and two employees were seriously injured.     ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
