29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: (a) In the chemical storage room, on or about February 5, 2014 and at times prior to, the employer did not provide necessary personal protective equipment (protective eyewear) to an employee who was opening a drum of hydrofluoric acid and placing or removing a hose into the drum to allow the acid to flow into the wash system resulting in a chemical hazard.
