OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard:  (a) Bosquet Ski Resort Dan Fox Dr Pittsfield, MA: On or about February 7, 2014 employees acknowledged climbing on the structural members of the ski lift towers at this establishment to reach the work platform to perform maintenance work more than 15 FT above the ground below:   Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).

29 CFR 1910.304(b)(3)(ii)(C)(3): Each cord set, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, were not visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as insulation damage:  (a) Bosquet Ski Resort Dan Fox Dr Pittsfield, MA: On or about February 7, 2014 an orange extension cord, that powered a box fan, was not inspected prior to use and it was put into service with copper visible through its damaged insulation.
