29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) 1600 Harbor Blvd, Weehawken, NJ The employer did not ensure that employees who used an extending ladder from the 4th to 6th floor of the project were protected against falling at the ladder landing on the 6th floor which had an unguarded 4.5 foot wide opening exposing workers to fall hazards of approximately 18 feet. Condition noted on or about 2-4-14 Advantage Builders Services of NJ DBA Advanced Built Structures, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 907206, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 6-25-13, with respect to a workplace located at 1600 Harbor Blvd., Weekhawken, NJ.
