29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Air Foil Finishing Department, 550 Stewart Road, Hanover Township - Wilkes-Barre, PA - Employees finishing air foil ceramic parts used compressed air with a gauge pressure of 40 p.s.i. to clean excess ceramic material and dust from the parts. Employees were exposed to potential injury caused by high pressure air, as observed on February 11, 2014. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.
