29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) At 300 West Beach Blvd Gulf Shores, Alabama: On or about February 10, 2014 and at times prior; the employer failed to provide fall protection for employees working from a deck with open side exposing them to a fall hazard of 10.4 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. a) At 300 West Beack Blvd Gulf Shores, Alabama: On or about February 10, 2014 and at times prior the employer failed to ensure employees involved in roofing activities were using fall protection exposing them to a fall hazard of 9.3 feet to the deck below.
