29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1): Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood whcih completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut. a) Worksite, 6 Strickland Place, Manhasset NY - Employees were using a 10inch Bosch Table Saw 4000, serial #49229 2335, to rip lumber. The guard was removed from the saw and employees were exposed to lacerations from the blade; on or about 2/19/14. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
