29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:   On or about February 18, 2014, employees performing framing activities on a residential home were exposed to electrical shock hazards where the cords were strained:   a) at the power pole, a Rolair air compressor power cord was plugged into a 120 volt outlet that did not have strain relief where the outer protective sheathing was pulled back exposing the internal wires;   b) at the power pole, employees plugged a yellow extension cord into a 120 volt outlet that did not have strain relief where the outer protective sheathing had approximately 3 inches of the sheathing cut off exposing the internal 10 gauge wires; and   c) inside the residential home, employees operated portable power tools with the yellow extension cord that did not have strain relief where the outer protective sheathing was pulled back approximately 2 inches exposing the internal 10 gauge wires.
