29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. In the boiler room area, employees were exposed to eye injury in that an eye wash station was not provided nearby in the event of an unforeseen occurrence while the employees are siphoning corrosive liquid from an elevated tote to another tote.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by in-going nip points, rotating parts, and/or flying chips and sparks. In the Maintenance Shop area, employees using a drill press (Model Jet-16) were exposed to flying chips and spark hazards in that a safety shield was not in use when operating the drill press.
