Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  Employees of Ray Framing setting roof trusses for a wood framed hotel located at 911 Porter Street, Hutchinson, KS 67501 were exposed to fall hazards up to approximately 32 feet to the ground below.  Fall protection was not used by employees standing on the top plates of the third story walls.
