29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Main building, Power Trim Saw: On or about February 12, 2014, an employee was exposed to an amputation hazard while cleaning debris and saw dust from the area between Trim Saw #1 and Trim Saw #2, thus being exposed to the saws rotating, 18 inch diameter, saw blades. b) Main building, Power Trim Saw: On or about February 12, 2014, an employee was exposed to an amputation hazard while guiding/balancing extra wide pallets onto the in feed conveyor, next to Trim Saw #2, thus being exposed to the rotating, 18 inch diameter, saw blade.
