29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2): Exit access(es) were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points.  a)  Building 1, DARC Office Suite, NW Fisherys Office;   There was a 24 inch aisleway exiting the office because of a bookshelf/credenza.   The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was previously cited for a violation of this standard which was contained in OSHA inspection no.  309097335 citation 3, item 1, issued on April 28, 2014 with respect to a workplace at Seattle, Washington.  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was previously cited for a violation of this standard which was contained in OSHA inspection no. 309097319 citation 1, item 1, issued on April 27, 2010 with respect to a workplace at Seattle, Washington.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:  (a)     Building 1, DARC Office Suite;  A Keurig, Krups coffee pot, and an Emerson refrigerator were plugged into a relocatable power tap, violating the power taps UL listing and labeling.  The UL listing states that relocatable power taps are designed for low amperage computer and audiovisual types of equipment, and not appliances.  This exposes employees to possible electrical fire hazards.   (b)   Building 1, DARC Office Suite, Office of Response and Restoration;   A Chefs Choice water kettle was plugged into a relocatable power tap, violating the power taps UL listing and labeling.  The UL listing states that relocatable power taps are designed for low amperage computer and audiovisual types of equipment, and not appliances.  This exposes employees to possible electrical fire hazards.    The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was previously cited for a violation of this standard which was contained in OSHA inspection no.  906829 citation 2, item 4, issued on June 4, 2013 with respect to a workplace at Pasco, Washington.  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was previously cited for a violation of this standard which was contained in OSHA inspection no. 915685 citation 1, item 1, issued on July 26, 2013 with respect to a workplace at Long Beach, California. 29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent:   a)      Building 1, DARC Office Suite, General Council Office;   An exit sign was missing over the door which lead to the exit corridor.  There were two or more doors in the workspace and it was unclear which door lead to the closest exit.    b)      Building 1, DARC Office Suite, Conference Room;  An exit sign was missing over the door which lead to the exit corridor.  There were two or more doors in the workspace and it was unclear which door lead to the closest exit.    c)       Building 1; DARC Office Suite:  There was not an exit sign over the main door of the office suite which lead to the exit corridor.  There were two or more doors in the workspace and it was unclear which door lead to the closest exit.    d)      Building 1;  DARC Office Suite;  The office suite had two or more corridors, and exit signs were not in the line of sight. Directional signs were needed to guide employees and visitors to the nearest exit.
