29 CFR 1910.134(c): The employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with required work site-specific procedures and elements for required respirator use:   An employee working in the paint room was exposed to hazards in that a written respiratory protection program was not in place to implement safety and health procedures when exposed to paint vapors.  Employee is subject to inhalation hazards to the nose, throat and lungs when painting equipment.

29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or  were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve:  An employee was exposed to inhalation hazards in the paint room. Two respirators kept on the work bench inside the paint room/booth were not properly stored and exposed to paint overspray.  Employee is subject to inhalation hazards to the nose, throat and lungs when painting equipment.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program including the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):     Employees were exposed to inhalation, skin and eye hazards in that a written hazard communication program was not implemented to communicate safety and health data for the various chemicals in the facility including enamel paints, Stoddard Solvent, and petroleum distillates.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8):   The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s)  Employees involved in painting equipment and cleaning parts with solvents were exposed to inhalation, skin and eye hazards in that they were not able to readily access the safety data sheets information for the chemicals kept and used at the facility.
