29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 2/20/14 at the Grand Island School Addition and Renovation Project located at 1100 Ransom Road, Grand Island, New York; employees working on the roof were constructing a mechanical curb and placing the cover. They were not protected from falling approximately 14 feet off the side of the roof or through roof openings in the area of the work. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
