29 CFR 1910.26(c)(1): Good safe practices in the use and care of ladder equipment were not employed by the users to get maximum serviceability, safety, and to eliminate unnecessary damage of equipment:    a) 441 Sanders Ferry Rd - On or about 2/27/14, employees were exposed to fall hazards when using a 6 foot fiberglass step ladder in the closed position.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1915.14(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that hot work is not performed in or on any of the following confined and enclosed spaces and other dangerous atmospheres, boundaries of spaces or pipelines until the work area has been tested and certified by a Marine Chemist or a U.S. Coast Guard authorized person as "Safe for Hot Work":    a) 441 Sanders Ferry Rd - On or about 2/27/14, employees were exposed to fire/burn hazards when hot work was performed on an enclosed space that contained combustible/flammable liquids or fuel without being tested and certified by a marine chemist.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
