29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries.  On or about 2/19/14, in the Diesel shop, the employer did not ensure fire extinguishers were mounted and marked and instead extinguishers were left on the floor.   No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting.  On or about 2/19/14, at the Gainesville location, the employer did not create and implement a training program for the use of fire extinguishers.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(iv): Electric equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause serious physical harm to employees, such as damaged electrical insulation.    On or about 2/19/14, in the maintenance shops, employees were permitted to use temporary electrical extension cords that had outer insulation sheathes that were damaged and exposing inner conductor wiring.      No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
