29 CFR 1910.37(b)(7): Each exit sign did not have the word "Exit" in plainly leligible letters not less that six inches (15.2 cm) high, with the principal strokes of the letters in the word "Exit" not less than three fourths of an inch (1.9 cm) wide:  On or about March 4, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the exit discharge door near Bay #10 did not have an adequate "EXIT" sign in that the lettering was not six inches high or more on the sign taped to the door, exposing employees to the hazards of fire in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:  On or about March 4, 2014, and at times prior thereto, the only egress door for the store room was not able to be unlocked from the inside, exposing employees to the hazards of fire in the event of an emergency.  Pep Boys was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314229097, Citation number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 1, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 3700 Edgemont Ave., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Pep Boys was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(g)(2)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 914663, Citation number 1, Item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on August 1, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 5134 S Wadsworth Blvd, CO 80123.
