29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: 1. Mazak Dual Turn 20 CTR No.17: The employer did not ensure that safety devices were functioning to protect employees against the point of operation and flying chips and parts. 2. P100-III Spartan high speed cold saw: The employer failed to provide adequate guarding to prevent employees from coming in contact with the rotating saw blade. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
