29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures. a) Jobsite: Sidewalk, west side of street - On or about 3/6/14, a support system for an undermined section of sidewalk was not used to protect employees from collapse hazards. Employees conducting plumbing activities were installing a curb trap inside an excavation measuring approximately 7 feet 6 inches in depth, 5 feet 6 inches in length, and 4 feet in width.
