OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards from falling or collapsing wood trusses: On 3/10/14, employees of Northcentral Construction Corporation were erecting trusses on a multi-family construction project without the proper temporary lateral and diagonal bracing needed to stabilize the structure.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: On 3/10/14, four employees were setting trusses on a two story apartment building without fall protection while working in the truss webs and walking on trusses lying on the top plates of the interior walls.
