29 CFR 1926.304(f): Section 4.1.2(c) American National Standards Institute 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery as adopted by 29 CFR 1926.304(f):  Circular hand-fed rip saws did not have non-kickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator:  (a) Mod #9 - Employees used a Ryobi 10" portable table saw, model BTS211, serial number 092312019, to rip wood for use in window blocking, and this saw did not have non-kickback fingers or dogs, exposing employees who operated the saw to the hazard of getting struck-by wood kicked back by the saw, on or about March 13, 2014.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The details of the hazard communication program developed by the employer, did not include an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers and the workplace labeling system used by their employer; the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employee could obtain and use the appropriate hazard information:  (a) COR Construction Services, Inc., 3101 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, Pennsylvania - Employees used or worked around hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to combustible wood dust generated by sawing, and gasoline used to fuel tools and equipment, and the employer did not provide employees with training on the revised hazard communication standard (HCS 2012) label elements and the new format and type of information on each section of the safety data sheets (SDSs) to ensure that when employees begin to see HCS 2012 compliant labels and SDSs in their workplace, employees will understand how to use the labels and SDSs and access the information effectively, on or about March 13, 2014.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
