29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): Employer training did not include the methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area:    The employer failed to implement specific procedures to verify the lines were clear from incompatible chemicals following a nitrogen purge.  On or about 4/7/14 an employee was sprayed with chloroform when the discharge manifold on the pump broke due to a chemical reaction in the hose and excessive pressure.      IN THE ALTERNATIVE:    29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employer training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used:    The employer failed to implement specific procedures to verify the lines were clear from incompatible chemicals following a nitrogen purge.
