29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by:    Mark Marines floating shop-    (a) The South Bend 56" lathe is used to fabricate parts and was not equipped with a chuck head guard exposing the operator to rotating chuck head.    (b) The casing cover for the South Bend metal lathes "bump gears" was missing, exposing the operator to smashing or amputation injuries caused by being caught in the meshing gears.  (c) The  wire wheel device was not provided with any periphery wheel guard and driven by a heavy duty electric motor, exposing the operator to the rotating parts of the equipment.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel:   Mark Marines floating shop-        (a) The 6inch, 1/2hp Mark 1, model B-309, bench grinder peripheral protecting member could not be adjusted and no tongue guard was installed leaving the 3/4 inch opening on the right side and a 1 inch opening on the left side, exposing the operator to flying abrasive wheel debris in the event of a wheel failure.

Mark Marines floating shop-      (a) The 6 inch, 1/2 hp Mark 1, model B-309, bench grinder's tool rest on the right side had an opening of 1 1/2 inches and the left side tool rest had an opening of 1/2 inch, exposing the operator to flying abrasive wheel debris in the event of a wheel failure.
